Easter Sunday at St John’s was a truly joyful occasion this year. The church was filled with the warmth of both sunshine and fellowship, as a wonderful turnout of parishioners came together to celebrate the resurrection of Christ.

The service was uplifting, with beautiful hymns and a thoughtful sermon reminding us all of the hope and renewal that Easter brings. The church looked lovely, with fresh flowers adorning the altar and sunlight streaming through the stained glass windows.

After the service, everyone gathered outside to enjoy coffee, homemade cake, and a friendly raffle. It was heartening to see so many familiar faces — and some new ones too — taking time to chat, laugh and share in the spirit of the day.

Many thanks to all who helped organise the service and refreshments. It was a truly special morning, and a lovely way to mark the most important day in the Christian calendar.
