Since its founding in 1875, St John Baptist has stood at the heart of our community. For generations, people have been baptised here, married here, and have said goodbye to loved ones here. All that we do aims to support our community in our life together and to grow faithful disciples of Jesus Christ who live lives marked by love and joy.

Our gathered worship has been strongly and deeply rooted in the ‘Anglo-Catholic’ tradition. The Holy Eucharist, in which we remember and celebrate all that God, through Jesus, has done for us, is the centre of our common life and helps us to become more and more like Jesus.

Every week is a celebration of the love that God has shown us, as we continue to share it with one another.
